What Vehicle Components Are Covered By LifetimeWarranty?
Ford of Cookeville’s Lifetime Warranty can be understood best as an extension of the original manufacturer’s powertrain warranty.
The specific parts and components covered will vary depending on which make and model you purchase, but generally the below parts are typically always covered:
Engine
Includes cylinder block, head, internal parts, intake manifold, timing chain/belt, gaskets, flywheel, oil pump, valve covers, engine mounts, water pump, turbocharger, supercharger, engine control module, fuel pump, seals, and gaskets.

Transmission
Case and all internal parts, torque converter, clutch cover, transmission mounts, transfer case and all internal parts, engine control computer, seals and gaskets.

Front & Rear Wheel Drive
Limited lifetime warranty covers major and minor repairs to FWD and RWD systems, including drive shafts, internal parts, seals, bearings, and gaskets.

The Lifetime Limited Powertrain Warranty excludes certain items and conditions. It does not cover:
- Tires, which may have a separate manufacturer warranty
- Inconvenience costs, such as transportation, lodging, or lost wages
- Wear and tear items or routine maintenance services
- Vehicles with altered odometers, salvaged titles, or total-loss history
Additionally, standard maintenance items are not covered, including:
- Oil and fluid changes
- Tune-ups and spark plugs
- Brake pads and wiper blades
- Interior and exterior cleaning
- Replacement of non-powertrain components

Is There a Deductible?
There is a $100 deductible, which is the amount drivers are required to pay for eligible repairs on covered parts. But for new Vehicles backed by warranty, Ford of Cookeville lifetime warranty will pay any Ford-required deductibles.
Can the Lifetime Limited Powertrain Warranty be voided?
Yes—certain conditions can disqualify your Lifetime Limited Powertrain Warranty. To stay covered, drivers must follow the factory-recommended maintenance schedule outlined in the owner’s manual and maintain proper service records.
The warranty is also non-transferable and expires if the vehicle is sold, traded, or transferred. Additionally, vehicles used for commercial purposes are not eligible. This includes:
- Delivery services
- Rental or taxi use
- Police, emergency, or snow removal services
